Health haben uns bisher mit zwei anspruchsvollen Alben mit innovativen Elektro- und Gitarrensounds erfreut. Ihr neustes Werk Death Magic klingt ein bisschen beliebig nach Elektrorock und dürfte die alten Fans ein wenig enttäuschen. Robert Forster meldet sich nach langer Auszeit zurück: Songs To Play beweist eindrucksvoll, dass der ehemalige kreative Kopf der Go-Betweens sein Songwriting nicht verlernt hat. Mac DeMarco hat in Nordamerika erstaunlicherweise Kultstatus, hierzulande dürfte es noch ein langer Weg dahin sein. Der umtriebige Künstler umschifft auf dem neusten Werk Another One wieder mal gekonnt die Hits. Rozi Plain bietet auf ihrem dritten Album Friends wie gewohnt introvertiertes DIY-Songwriting und Ex-Pulp Mitglied Richard Hawley strickt mit Hollow Meadows fleißig weiter an seiner Solo-Karriere.
